Burda Kids 9564

Burda Kids 9564

I had purchased this fabric at the charity shop a while back, and I was trying to decide what to do with it. My husband suggested a table cloth, but luckily we do not share the same artistic vision. I was thinking maybe a dress for myself, but then my daughter said that she would like a dress from this fabric. I showed her some patterns I had in the stash and she selected Burda 9564.

I huge chocolate chip scone appears in these photos as this was the only way she would agree to be photographed. I really question my parenting skills when my three year old is already demanding payment for photo shoots. After about 30 seconds of shooting she insisted she was done. At the cost of a $2.25 scone for 30 seconds of work she is a pretty tough negotiator.

As far as the dress goes both my daughter and I are happy with how it turned out. It was pretty easy to put together, and Daphne really likes this style. Also, I still have about 2 yards of the fabric left over - just enough to squeeze out that dress for myself.
