I recently completed a dress for my littlest one. This is the first dress I have made her as she has so many hand-me-downs to wear. She really does not need any new clothes, I just thought this would be a nice project to get back into sewing with. I used Burda kids pattern 9503 and some fabric that my aunt gave me. It is not the best fabric - old quilting cotton I think - but the little one can make anything look cute. That is the great thing about sewing for kids, they look good in everything :o)
This is how the photo shoot went:
Taking decent pictures of small children is always super challenging, and this is really the best I could do. I would have taken pictures of just the dress on a hanger, but then all my sewing mistakes would have been really obvious. And who wants to see pictures of a dress on a hanger anyway?
I screwed up the button placket, and one of the sleeve cuffs is a little smaller than it should be, but overall it went well. It is a really easy little dress to make and I will most likely sew more.
LOL very cute
