I am starting Me-Made May with my new bateau neck top, and a skirt I made before I started blogging. The skirt is Burda Style 10-2010-136, the Karl Lagerfeld skirt.
I really like this skirt, but I have had trouble finding tops to wear with it. In the words of my husband "the skirt is a bit overpowering". Anyway, I think it looks pretty good with this top, which I am wearing with a tank as the neck opening is so wide.
I am super excited for me-made May! I am really hoping to wear some of those projects I didn't feel confident in previously, and also find new ways to style the me-made items that have become staples.
I love that skirt and have been thinking of making it. What is yours made out of?
ReplyDeleteI used cotton twill just because I already had it. I also added three inches to the length, so mine is a bit different from the original version.
